NYY 1, Cleveland 0

October 9, 2017 – 7:17 am

What an amazing performance by Tanaka and Chapman, particularly Tanaka. When he is on, he’s about as good as it gets. And so the Yankees live to see another day — although it’s still a very steep hill they will have to climb. Sure would be nice if the offense showed up in game four. Other than the short outburst they had in the first five innings of game two, they’ve scored all of one run in the other 25 innings. The top four in the lineup are hitting a collective .106. Time for them to break out, no?
