NYY 7, NY Mets 5

A series sweep! Just what the doctor ordered. Nice bounce-back win for Severino after that disastrous start in Boston last week. You kinda figured that bad start was a fluke, but nice to see it confirmed. Severino still remains the ace of the staff. Also Gary Sanchez is really starting to heat up, going 2-for-4 with five big RBIs. With Judge continuing to flounder it’s really going to be important for Sanchez to pick up the slack there. As long as he and Gregorious can continue hitting and Judge gets the occasional home run in-between strikeouts, the offense should be OK.

So now on to a very big series with Boston. If they want to have a shot at the division title, they pretty much have to win the series, if not sweep it. And good luck with that, hey?
