NYY 7, Kansas City 1

May 17, 2017 – 7:41 am

Nice bounce back from that ugly Astros series. And to be fair, Kansas City just swept the Orioles and had won six of their last seven coming into the Yankee series, so even though they’re below .500 they are playing pretty good ball right now. So how the Yankees do in this series will tell us a lot.

Also, very good bounce back start for Sabathia who had stunk it up in his last four starts. CC is becoming the current version of good old A.J. Burnett, who was totally unpredictable in his last couple of years with the Yankees. You never knew whether it would be “Good AJ” or “Bad AJ” showing up, but there was rarely anything in-between. And that’s pretty much where Sabathia is these days.
