NYY 10, Cincinnati 4

May 9, 2017 – 7:35 am

Yet another start for Tanaka where he didn’t look all that great, but nonetheless got the job done, giving up four runs (three earned) in seven innings. But with the Yankee offense going the way it is these days, that’s plenty good to notch an easy win. Once again it was everyone up and down the lineup delivering, with seven different batters getting RBIs. Particularly encouraging was Gary Sanchez, going 3-for-3. If he gets back to where he was at the end of last year, with everyone else hitting the way they are, the pitching is going to be pretty much irrelevant!
