NYY 3, St. Louis 2

April 16, 2017 – 7:41 am

It’s starting to look like a long year for all the CC-haters out there. Sabathia turned in his third straight good start Saturday, and each start has been better than the previous one. The offense could only put up three runs against the Cardinals’ Carlos Martinez in a rather bizarre outing which included 11 strikeouts but also 8 walks. But that was more than enough runs as CC held the Cards to just one run over 7.1 innings, and the bullpen once again did it’s job of holding the lead from there.
