NYY 3, Tampa Bay 2

April 14, 2017 – 7:34 am

A series sweep, a 4-game winning streak, and over .500 for the first time this season. Now we’re cooking. Luis Severino recorded his first W since 2015 (yeah, unbelievable), and looked great doing it — a 7-inning quality start with 11 Ks and just one walk. And Aaron Hicks (like Aaron Judge) also seems to be starting to figure things out. After a rather poor 2016 (.217 BA and .617 OPS), he’s now at .313 and 1.226.

Now to see if they can continue to look this good with the St. Louis Cardinals, who so far are off to a weak start, coming into town.
