About Those Off-Season Moves….

The early returns on the Yankees off-season moves is really looking bad so far. First off is the obvious debacle that the Montero-Pineda trade has become. That one may well end up being one of the worst transactions in Yankee history. And then you have the A.J. Burnett trade — so far this year, A.J. is 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA and 1.077 WHIP, both of which are better than any other Yankee starter. And finally there’s the re-signing of Freddy Garcia while letting Bartolo Colon go. Colon is 3-2 with a 2.53 ERA and 0.937 WHIP, which is not only better than any Yankee starter, compared to Garcia it’s….. well, we really don’t want to go there, do we?
