Offense MIA

May 23, 2010 – 11:00 am

NY Mets 5, NYY 3. Not much you can say about this one. The Yankees offense is pretty much MIA right now, so when you go up against the likes of Mike Pelfrey when he’s at the top of his game you pretty much figure this one is going to end up in the loss column. Phil Hughes pitched rather poorly once again, but still kept the Yankees in the game and at least gave them the chance to win. But alas, they went 3-for-14 with RISP and left a total of 13 on base, and that was that.

So now it’s up to CC Sabathia to get the Yankees back to winning series. And with Johann Santana on the mound for the Mets, CC is going to have to pitch a gem to give them any chance of winning with the way the Yankee offense is these days.
