TEAM TOTAL 10 351 65 107 13 60 31 71 156 .305 .369 .473

The hitting is really starting to heat up. Nady is proving to be everything he was advertised to be, and then some. And Abreu and A-Rod are getting in a groove. That only leaves Giambi, and it shouldn’t be long now before he breaks out of his slump.

Alas, just as the hitting starts to pick up, the pitching starts going downhill. Go figure. Hopefully Pettitte got his occasional bad start out of the way and will be back to Good Andy for the next couple of starts. And hopefully they’ve got some kind of plan for doing something about the number five pitching slot, as it’s clear Rassner is just not the answer. And hopefully Girardi has learned his lesson about using Mo in non-save situations.  Yeah, lots of hoping going on.
