Rodriguez 10 39 4 10 2 6 1 10 19 .256 .293 .436

You know you are in big trouble when your third hottest hitter is the one that all the pundits and fans are demanding be benched. Poor Melky. Six starters are now hitting below the Mendoza line over the last 10 games. Sure hope the All-Star break cured whatever it was that was ailing these guys!

But not to worry — Richie Sexson to the rescue, right? Heck, his 7-for-32 (.219) over his last 10 games makes him a real slugger on this team!

Veras 5 0 1 0 5.0 3 2 2 1 6 3.60 10.8 1.8

Over the last 10 games the team ERA is 3.44. Rasner is the only weak link there. Can you imagine what they would be like now if Wang hadn’t been injured???? If if’s and but’s were candy and nuts….

And how about old Krazy Kyle? He’s working on eight straight appearances without giving up a hit!
