Here We Don’t Go Again

Boston 7, NYY 0. This one was pretty easy to see coming. Andy Pettitte was due for a poor outing, and that offensive outburst last night really had a huge asterisk attached to it, coming as it did off the dregs of one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. Clearly that was an aberration, and so now for all practical purposes the Yankees have scored only 7 runs in their last 5 games. And have now scored 2 runs or less in 28 games so far this season. That’s just inexcusable for all the offensive talent this team has. And tomorrow it’s Rasner vs. Beckett. That certainly does not bode well.

On the post-game show they’re now saying that Girardi is having a closed door team meeting. Go get ’em Joe!
